I love eating out. Nothing is more enjoyable then discovering a new restaurant and trying a new dish or going to your favorite restaurant and ordering the usual.
One of the first things I did when we arrived in St. Gallen was to check out the restaurants in town. The first restaurant I came across was a Thai place, with an average entree price: 20-25 CHF (Swiss Francs), which is about 16-20 dollars. A bit pricey, but I thought maybe it's a fancy place.
A little more explorer soon revealed the same prices at almost every restaurant. A bit concerned, I then found, what I thought would be the holy grail of cheap food... Chinese Takeout, complete with the ever classy blown up pictures of the food hanging on the wall behind the counter.
Fully expecting a 3-item combo for 4 bucks, I was quickly put in my place when I saw that the lo-mein was an egregious 15 CHF (12 dollars).
I stormed out of there, both shocked and appalled, and probably Waverly more so, knowing I'll make her cook more.

Thus, I spend more time cooking than studying. gotta save money for our weekend getaways~
One got to eat rice or noodle regardless how expensive it is.
Do you remember when I was in St. Gallen, the only "dinner" that you bought for me was " Switzerland hot dog" only. Thanks.
