The third week of October is a very special time of year... because that's the week both Waverly and I were born.
To celebrate, we decided to go a little crazy and actually go out to eat for once. Waverly took me to a nice Italian restaurant, followed by a trip to the outdoor carnival/fair that was in town, which featured one the most frightening rides ever made by man:
We decided to take it easy and go on the ferris wheel, which was still a little scary since our car rotated around in circles and the seats were so low a huge gust of wind could easily have blown us off.
When we got back, Waverly surprised me with some fruit tarts and a slice of cheese cake. She also got me a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a stuffed animal key chain leading me to wonder, "who's birthday are these gifts really for?"
On Waverly's special day, I took her to a Vietnamese restaurant (she was craving Asian food so bad she was starting to develop a twitch) and then afterwards for some coffee. Back at home, I surprised her with what any girl would want for her birthday: smoked bacon, swiss wine (Dole), cheese, and a Raclette Grill (basically, it's a device where you put a block of cheese on a shovel, melt it under high heat, and then pore the molten cheese on food).
Here it is in all its cheese melting glory:

Eating out is such a luxury to us now. Oooo... That raclette grill is money. Raclette ME!
I almost read it as bracelet. Is it studded with diamonds?
Happy birthday.
